There’s not much to say about this one, though you might consider starting with one thrower and either saving the extra money towards an Apothecary, or starting with dedicated fans. They really suit bright vibrant schemes and really are a refreshing change after dark and muted colours – if you want to paint something different they are well worth picking up as a fun little palette cleanser!

Also Wrestle helps a lot, any time they take down a Dwarf, that usually just means that spend their next turn standing up. As you can also use multiple rerolls per turn now, having four rerolls to start gives you a lot of flexibility. That said, this skill can be negated with Tackle, a skill that some teams (most notably Dwarfs) begin with in large supply. From its humble beginnings as a spinoff of Warhammer Fantasy containing much of the same rules of that game, to its current iteration as its own fully fleshed out system and dedicated fanbase, Blood Bowl shines as one of the best tabletop sports games in the hobby. Combined with a 14-player roster, for when your paltry AV8+ breaks, you’re looking at an extremely solid team. Then, when they level again, they each take the skill they don’t have, and you’ve got two amazing support and removal pieces!

On the Ball makes them more of a reactionary piece than normal, so perhaps they envision some sort of defensive thrower that recovers and throws into space for a Blitzer to pick up later? For 10k more than the old version, they've gained On the Ball and Safe Pass, which is an interesting combination to say the least and in terms of value for the number of skills they have, 80k is pretty. The only issue I ran into painting was that the shoulder pad trim was actually too small for me to follow with my ever-so-slight hand shakes – but otherwise it was a blast. It’s not a drastic change, but adding more variance in MA and STR across the team, as well as some oddball skills, definitely makes them less of a milquetoast experience. For tournament play, putting them in Tier 1 will mean that pretty much all of your skill picks are going to be Block , and that’s usually not the sign of a T1 team.

As far as Eagle Warrior Linewomen go, I would suggest taking a random General skill whenever any of them ever get to 3 SPP.

Their biggest weakness would be that they have low armour, early on in a league starting with Dodge and not many opponents having Block doesn’t make that such a big problem. The new skills, stat changes and positionals are nice, but it hasn’t quite solved what I viewed as the team’s core problems.Admittedly, Bob, the crazy things Blood Bowl players do both on and off the field support such assertions. Finally, the Jaguar Warrior Blockers are the strongest and toughest members of the team, and should be used to set up devastating blocks across the field. Personally, I like him a tiny bit more than Estelle, since he can turn off opposition players every turn of the game as opposed to just once, and he brings unparalleled offensive utility. They perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing, ensuring that ads are properly displayed for advertisers, and in some cases selecting advertisements that are based on your interests.
